Ash Wednesday Services

Ash Wednesday is the first day in the season of Lent - a 40-day season that invites us to return to God and renew our commitment to following Jesus. It's an opportunity for a fresh start and an invitation for us to give ourselves wholly over to God's transforming work in our lives. In the Bible, ashes are a sign of repentance and returning to God, as well as a reminder of life’s fragility and our need for God. We invite you to join us for any of our Ash Wednesday worship services on February 17:

Drive-In Services

Join us in the parking lot at 12:15 and 5:30 p.m. for an opportunity to worship, reflect, and receive ashes. We will be providing individual canisters of ashes mixed with oil, so that worshipers can safely impose their own ashes during the service.

Join us on Zoom at 7:00 p.m. for an online version of our Ash Wednesday services. Individual canisters of ashes are available for pick-up after worship on February 14 (outdoors by the Fellowship Hall) and in the Narthex during regular office hours on February 16 & 17.

Ash Wednesday Offering

Following the Lenten tradition of “almsgiving,” or giving to those in need, the offering collected during our Ash Wednesday services will go to our Local Missions fund, which allows us to provide much-needed support for our neighbors in need. To give online to our Local Missions fund, click here and choose "Local Missions" in the drop-down menu.
