Care for Young Children

Birth – age 5

Our Sunday morning nursery (child care) is staffed by a professional child care worker and an aide from 8:15 am to 15 minutes after the end of the late service.  During the late service, the group comes to the sanctuary for the Children’s Moment portion of the worship service, when the pastor shares a Bible story, life lesson or song that relates to the adult message for the day.

The Grow Hour

  • Sunday School for Children in the Education Building
  • Sunday School and Confirmation Classes for Youth in 308 (The Building to the left of the sanctuary)
  • Bible Study in the first-floor Conference Room in the Chambers Youth Building, 308 Main Street.  Curriculum changes every 6 to 8 weeks.  Led by Jerry McNeiland.

Holy Week 2017

  • Holy Week begins April 9 with Palm/Passion Sunday that will move from celebrating Jesus' Entry Into Jerusalem and turn to a preview of the drama of the whole week.

Prayers in the Bible

When we think of prayer in the Bible, our "go-to" is The Lord's Prayer.  There are many prayers in the scriptures, and we will be exploring several in these four weeks;

  • April 23Thanksgiving for Victory - Exodus 15.  One of the great hymns of Easter is based on the song of victory for the Israelites' deliverance at the Red Sea.  On this Sunday, we will be Singing Our Faith, praising God for the victory of the Resurrection.
  • April 30 - The Prayers of John 17 - This week, Pat Botelle will explore the 3 prayers in John 17 where Jesus prays for himself, for the disciples, and for future believers.
  • May 7 - A Prayer for the Ephesians - Paul offers a prayer for the church at Ephesus
  • May 14Two Mothers' Prayers - Throughout time, mothers have prayed for their children.  Hannah and Mary are 2 biblical mothers whose prayers were statements of deep faith and trust.
  • May 21 - YOUTH SUNDAY!

On the last Sunday in May, a new series Important Conversations will begin, leading us to consider several of the essential, necessary conversations we should have as families so that we are as prepared as we can be for for crises that we may face.

See you on Sunday!
